Gear Review: Daylight Flexilens Magnifier PDF Print E-mail

logoThe Daylight Company makes lights and magnifiers for those that like to do crafts.  We don't really do "crafts" in the traditional sense; we make flies!  And, some of you out there like to make teeny tiny little 22 midges.  You might need a little help seeing (especially those anglers out there who are a bit past the 30 year mark), so today we take a look at Daylight's Flexilens.  Is it worth your money? thumbBrian takes a gander at Dr. Slick's Razor Scissors today for our gear review this week.  Do they make the cut?  Are they sharp enough to cut the mustard?  I've got a million of these, but I think I'll spare you and just let you get on to the review.

Kentucky Lakes Added! E-mail
Monday, 23 August 2010 21:29

kentuckyKentucky is known for it's bourbon, horse racing, college basketball, and Mammoth Caves.  Booze, gambling, ball and dark places? That's our kind of state!  On top of that, there's a law on the books down there that requires that all Kentucky residents bathe at least once a year... so that's good to know.  But, for us here at Stillwater Fishing, the most important thing to know about KY is that it possesses the greatest length of navigatable waterways and streams in the lower 48!  And, we've added all Kentucky to our Lakes page.  Take a peek and find a place in the Bluegrass State to fish.

Check out Kentucky's lakes here...

Rhode Island Lakes Added! E-mail

Smile. You're in PennsylvaniaSo, here's a fun fact: Rhode Island, the 13th and smallest state in the Union, is in fact not really called Rhode Island.  No, the offical name of this state is actually The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations; we just call it Rhode Island for short.  Kind of like calling somebody Mike.  Or Phil.  But enough of that... we're here to talk about fishing in RI, and now you, our faithful readers, can view all of the Stillwater lakes in this great state!  The first state to declare independance now has it's own page here!

Check out Rhode Island's awesome lakes here...
